encircling gardens

this weekend i was out shopping and found some wreaths made of silk flowers that caught my eye. i immediately ran over to them and put one around my neck... neil was sweet about it, but i'm sure they didn't look as nice on me as i thought they did... considering they were made for doors and not people

i came across this beautiful new line of flowers for your neck that would do the trick oh so nicely. necklace by myrakim on etsy

my math

i remember when i first started to really enjoy numbers, it was in high school when i took pre-calculus. before then math always seemed boring and tedious, but for some reason, everything came together that year and it clicked in my mind. i decided to major in mathematics in college, partly because i wasn't sure what else to do and i had been doing fairly well in high school with it.

today, i still work a lot with numbers even though most of my college years had nothing to do with numbers and was filled with hours of trying to work out proofs and two question tests with those same proofs on them. i love finding math related things and hearing good math related jokes.

i overheard this one from the tv show king of the hill and just had to share:

boy: so, you must be really good at math!
girl: yeah, i'm in trig... what about you?
boy: my math is just called math

nap time

i came home to have some lunch and found these two curled up on my bed. i couldn't believe it, i just had to take a picture...they are almost cuddling! i usually see them chasing each other around and attacking each other... oh and fighting over toys, the same plate of food even though they have their own, and who gets to sit next to me in bed. but look, wow, they are napping together... makes this dreary day a little bit sweeter. now if only i could join them instead of going back to work...

applejack

when i was a kid, i loved my little ponies. i remember the very special birthday when i got the paradise estate and i jumped up and down and screamed and felt like the luckiest girl in the world. the pink rooms and swimming pool gave me many many hours of happiness.

i've been lucky enough to stumble across some flickr groups dedicated to my little pony... makes me wish i still had mine!

etsy mini blog

the etsy mini blog has proposed a challenge, and i just couldn't refuse... if you haven't heard of this blog before, it was created by etsy users as a single resource to browse through tons of shops quickly and get a great preview of sellers featured products.

i took some time this evening and found some great new sellers and items...

i'm ready for summer, are you?

what will we do when all the vintage dresses have been found and are gone? well, at least there doesn't seem to be any shortage for now.
