samhita from feministing on why she baracked the vote with a great perspective as a south asian growing up in america.

found a new blog written by two sassy old ladies in texas who have been writing about the election. I don't think i could pick a favorite post, but this one is a good start.

we just live here - what would happen if more of us could vote?

and saving the best for last, t-rex has a brilliant and hilarious solution for uniformed voting.

bad habits

unfortunately, i have many bad habits... i try to feel better by reminding myself that i'm not the only one.

i read these five tips on how to break a bad habit and found them pretty motivating and true in cases where i've been able to break them.

here's a brief list - but i highly suggest you read the full version on the blog:
1. get a running start
2. try to change your habits during a busy time
3. no exceptions - do not give in to temptation on any relapses
4. head off temptation
5. consider marshmallows
