twenty eight

it was my birthday last week, and after i got over my usual "i'm getting old" pity party, i managed to have a nice time and enjoy some time with my family. maybe we can go rollerskating next year.

my sister made me a lemon tart, and it was delicious. we tried to put 28 candles on it, but the package of candles only had 24, meh. here's a picture of the lemon tart... it was delicious... i love it when my sister bakes things for me.

i did make out with some nice presents, including the silverwear i've wanted for a while, a great wine rack... and the DINOSAUR COMICS BOOK!

In other matters, things are a bit messy these days but i'm trying to do my best and stay strong. i've given in to some of my previous weaknesses, but for now i will let myself be inspired by small victories. i need to work on my emotional strength and courage, so here goes for now.

lunchtime blogging

i stopped by my house during lunch today for the first time in a while... it's nice to see my cats and it's nice to be home on a cold, wet and dark day. anyway, i found this bathing suit that i think would look amazing on audrey. i would totally buy this for myself, but i don't think i could fit into it.

i'm not sure how it happened, but over the past few weeks i've let things slip and slip and pretty much crash. unfortunately this story ends with a pile of dirty dishes, a messy house, no groceries and me watching bad television in tights with pajama shorts over them. this is my attempt to call myself out and whip myself back into shape.

so, there has been a serious lack of blogging lately, and i do apologize. hope everyone is having a great holiday. i went on a gift wrapping rampage earlier, and now i'm enjoying a glass of wine and trying to stay warm. if any of my dallas friends are reading this and are not doing the family thing tomorrow, hit me up! we should eat food and dance a little bit.
